Residency

The Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Residency Program at Greenwood Pharmacy is affiliated with the University of Iowa. The University of Iowa program, established in 1997, is the longest running ASHP/APhA accredited residency program in the nation. Upon completion of the program, a pharmacist will have the skills, experience, and confidence to lead an enhanced services pharmacy practice. The resident will sharpen their patient care and pharmacotherapy skills while providing Chronic Care Management, Immunizations, Medication Therapy Management, Injectable Medications, Transitional Care Management, Enhanced Medication Safety Evaluation, Practice Management, and Community Outreach Opportunities.

Destanie Truman, PharmD

Destanie Truman, PharmD, grew up in Coralville. She decided to pursue pharmacy because of the relationships she created with patients while working as a pharmacy technician for several years. She enjoys managing patients with chronic diseases and those on anticoagulants. Truman is looking forward to continuing to learn and grow during the next year. A product of Coralville, Iowa, you’ll find her crocheting, undertaking DIY projects, and spending time with family during her hours off.
